The fourth single release from Mark Davenport's album "Joyful Sighs & Soulful Hymns." In addition to Mark's vocal and piano work, the single features guitarist David Snider, Pedal Steeler Daniel Jones, and drummer Christian Teele. Following the concept of the other songs on Davenport's CD "You Are A Rose" is based on a 16th-century work by William Byrd and draws on lyrics from a poem by Robert Herrick ("A Meditation for his Mistress").
